As 2024 comes to a close, we are filled with gratitude for the difference your support has made at Foothills Child Advocacy Center. This year, our community united to bring safety, healing, and hope to young survivors of abuse, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Thanks to your generosity, hundreds of children found a compassionate space to share their stories and begin healing. Through forensic interviews, medical exams, and advocacy, we’ve seen children reclaim their sense of safety and self-worth. Your donations funded not just services, but moments of hope—a child finding their voice, a family gaining understanding, and a community learning to protect its most vulnerable.

When 10-year-old Jake arrived, he felt scared and burdened by secrets. For months, he carried the weight of abuse in silence, withdrawing from friends and giving up his favorite activities.

At Foothills, Jake met Caitlin, a specially trained forensic interviewer whose calm and gentle approach helped him feel safe. For the first time, Jake shared his story, finding relief as he realized someone believed him.

The information Jake provided was crucial, enabling law enforcement to protect him and sparking his healing journey. With therapy, Jake learned to cope with his emotions, rebuild his life, and rediscover his love for soccer. The interview gave him his voice back and set him on the path to healing.

Jake’s story reminds us that forensic interviews are about more than justice—they’re about helping children reclaim their childhoods and begin new chapters of healing.
